Today I am sharing one of the most underrated summer cocktails out there… the wine spritzer! I feel like people always joke about 80’s housewives sipping wine spritzers on the back patio, but they may have been on to something. It’s the absolute easiest ‘recipe’ so I am going to share some of my favorite wines to use because you want something nice, but you’re mixing it so it doesn’t need to be expensive! Wine spritzers are really the perfect summer drink because they’re light enough that you can have a few without feeling tipsy but they are so refreshing on a hot day. This is my favorite drink to order if we’re sitting out on a patio!
You can use pretty much any kind of wine for a spritzer, but I prefer a white or rosé! Here are a few favorite go-to’s that we always keep on hand!
Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon blanc is probably my favorite wine to use in a spritzer…it’s light, typically citrus forward with a crisp finish!
Rosé
The Cote des Roses is such a beautiful bottle…it looks like a real rose on the bottom! The perfect hostess gift!
Vinho Verde
Another great option is the Espiral Vinho Verde from Trader Joe’s the price is great…I think $8 and it drinks like a much nicer wine!
