Yesterday, I shared some easy ways to spruce up your space on a budget so I thought it could be fun to talk about finding a signature home scent. Don’t you love walking into someone’s house and just recognizing that is so them?! I feel like our house always smells nice, we burn different candles and have a few diffusers, but I don’t think we have a signature scent. I am probably the only person in America who doesn’t absolutely love the Volcano candle, but it is absolutely the signature scent of Anthropologie… and I love that!
Andy and I are going to start testing out a few different options for fall! I personally love this Le Labo Santal 26 – it’s smoky, leathery and kind of masculine in the best way possible. Another perennial favorite is the Diptyque Figuier which is a lot lighter and much more of a clean scent with a heavy dose of fig notes.
For fall, I love a heavy, richer scent which gives off a warm + cozy vibe. While I have been into the pumpkin spice candles in the past (and they do really smell amazing), I am wanting to find something not so sweet and a bit more everyday. In perfume, I am always drawn to florals but for home I really want something a bit more ambiguous… I’ll keep you posted on what we end up with!
Here are a few other tried and true favorites + some scents that I think look interesting! Let me know if you have any favorites in the comments below.
