I am going to start this off by saying I am always skeptical of ‘no-name’ beauty products and mainly buy department store cosmetics + skincare over drugstore brands… but about a year ago I kept seeing Beauty Pie all over my social media and thought I would give it a try! Obviously, if I have kept it up for a year, you can probably guess I really like the products but I am going to give you my two cents on what has earned the hype and what you can pass on.
What is Beauty Pie?
Beauty Pie was founded by Marcia Kilgore who founded all of these well known brands : Bliss®, Remède®, Soap & Glory® and Soaper Duper®. She says the mission of Beauty Pie is to bring the highest quality skincare directly to customers at a compelling price. They use the same labs that the top luxury brands use, but with a limited marketing budget and no retailer markups they’re able to offer the same quality with a lower price tag. Sounds pretty great, right?
There is more than skincare to choose from including makeup, body, hair and nail care product… oh and even candles + tools too!
How Does it Work?
You sign up for a monthly membership and receive a spending limit which corresponds to how much product you can buy each month. I do the $10/month and it has been plenty to stock up on my favorites! Here’s a breakdown of your options so you can see how it works.

What Should You Buy?
I have tried their skincare, makeup, haircare and candles and can honestly say stick with skincare and candles. They founded the company on skincare and that is their definite sweet spot, but their candles are also affordable and smell nice! I have tried a few makeup items and found I prefer my regular Sephora/Ulta brands much more on both the formulas and colors offered, so I’d say skip makeup to start! Here are my favorites that I have really enjoyed:
Super Healthy Skin Moisturizer
A lightweight but very hydrating moisturizer… I have been using this for 12+ months in the morning and am very happy with the way my skin looks!
Plantastic Deep Nourishing Moisture Balm
This is a heavier moisturizer, so I love it, but only wear on no-makeup days or at night! Super creamy and sinks in quickly… my skin is visibly smoother when I use this!
Super Pore-Detox Purifying Black Clay Mask
You might remember this from when I shared my favorite face masks… this is a great product that really pulls everything out of your pores! It works really well, so don’t do this right before a big event, I would say maybe at least two weeks out!
Oxygen Instant Facial Refuelling Mask
This has been sold out the last few times I placed an order, but I finally got it this month and while I have only used it once, I LOVED it! I did this mask one morning when I had a couple extra minutes before work and my skin felt AMAZING! Highly recommend.
Dr. Glycolic Multi-Acid Micro Peeling Pads
I have used tons of micro-peeling pads over the years and love the exfoliating effect, but they can get super pricey if you use frequently! Enter these… I bought these on my first order and have reordered multiple times because they are so good. Great to use a few times at night after cleansing and before serums + moisturizer.
Plantastic Nourishing Hand Cream
Between all of the hand sanitizer and extra hand washing that has been 2020, my hands have needed a little extra TLC. I love the packaging of this hand cream and just toss it in my bag to have on hand at all times!
