This weekend Andy and I were talking about some of the things we’ll never forget about 2020… it’s been about four months since our lives were turned upside down with the Coronavirus pandemic so I thought it would be interesting to share some things we discussed and would love to hear what has really stuck out to you. Also… I’m sharing some really cute masks because #WearADamnMask!
Things We’ll Never Forget About the Coronavirus Pandemic
- The toilet paper, yeast, cleaning supply, meat, hand sanitizer shortages… the hoarding was crazy at the start
- How happy we were to see our parents for the first time after weeks of total quarantine
- The Zoom happy hours
- Waiting in line at the grocery store to get in
- Missing traveling so much… we constantly talked about ‘where we should go next’ and took a virtual vacay to scout out destinations
- So many phone calls with friends + family
- Everyone suddenly turned into a baker
- Wearing a mask for the first time… the feeling was so weird and foreign
- ‘Wine with Dewine’
- Being a #coronabride… changing my bachelorette trip (which was replanned for this Thursday — SOOO excited), crossing my fingers for a normal wedding and still being grateful I get to marry my best friend
- No traffic…no rush hour…so strange
- All of the neighborhood walks…we HAD to get out as much as possible
- Running the dishwasher at least 100x more than normal
- The sudden shock of the stay at home order and the anxiety that followed for days…maybe weeks
- All of the pets wondering why their owners were now at home 24/7 (Milly definitely got bored with us… )
- Going out to eat for the first time post quarantine was the ultimate treat
- Working from home without a real office
- Joining like three wine clubs (see here…lol)
- The community coming together to support local restaurants, retailers, and small businesses
- No makeup, athleisure, and loungewear became the everyday uniform… getting dressed up meant putting on jeans
Cute Masks
We’re all doing our part, wearing masks we don’t want to be wearing because it’s the right thing to do. At least pick out a few that you actually like how they look… these are all comfortable and cute! I got the Lele Sadoughi ones to wear to my bachelorette party in Michigan and they are so pretty!
Here’s a few of my favorites:
